Pune – A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 19-year-old college student, Sai Shrikant Bhagwat, after a speeding truck rammed into her two-wheeler in the Tukainagar area on Sinhagad Road. Sai was a second-year Arts student at Sir Parshuram College.
The incident occurred when Sai was returning home from college on her bike. A speeding truck hit her in the Tukainagar locality, causing severe head injuries. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital, but despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
A complaint has been lodged by Deepashree Shrikant Bhagwat at the Sinhagad Road Police Station. The police have registered a case against the truck driver for rash and negligent driving. The accused fled the scene after the accident and is currently absconding. A manhunt has been launched to trace him.
