Pune: A concerning incident unfolded on the Kanyakumari-Pune Express when a passenger discovered an insect in the food served on board. The passenger had ordered a meal from the train’s pantry and was shocked to find the unhygienic contamination, prompting them to file an official complaint and call for strict measures.
The incident occurred during the journey to Pune, and the passenger took to social media to highlight the issue, tagging railway authorities and urging them to investigate the quality of food provided on the train. Other passengers also voiced their concerns, pointing out the ongoing hygiene issues aboard trains.
This event once again sheds light on the persistent problem of substandard food quality on trains, despite previous assurances from railway officials. It underscores the pressing need for better monitoring and regulation of food preparation and distribution on long-distance trains.
