Pune: On February 13, 2025, a successful operation by Unit 6 of the Loni Kalbhor Police Station resulted in the arrest of 22-year-old Aniket Gulab Yadav. The arrest took place at Sopan Nagar, Kadamwak Vasti, Loni Kalbhor, Pune, after the police team received a tip-off during a routine border patrol. Yadav, who is currently out on bail following a previous offense under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MOCCA), was apprehended by the team led by Police Inspector Wahid Pathan.
Yadav now faces multiple charges, including violations under Section 3 and 25 of the Arms Act, as well as Section 37(1)(a) and Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act. The investigation is progressing under the supervision of senior officers, with careful monitoring by Upper Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balakawade and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingle.
The operation was carried out efficiently by the Crime Branch team, with key contributions from Police Sub-Inspector Ramakrishna Dalvi and other team members: P. Hawa, Balasaheb Sakte, Ramesh Memane, Nitin Mundhe, and Kanifnath Karkhele. Yadav has been handed over to the authorities for further legal proceedings, and the investigation continues.
