Pune: The Rolls-Royce car belonging to Prashant Koratkar, who was arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has been found at a farmhouse owned by Pimpri-Chinchwad-based builder Tushar Kalate. Kalate has claimed that he legally purchased the luxury car and possesses all necessary documents.

Koratkar was arrested on March 24 from Telangana for allegedly threatening historian Indrajit Sawant and making offensive remarks about the Maratha rulers. He is currently in police custody. Photos of Koratkar with the high-end Rolls-Royce had gone viral, raising questions about how he acquired the car, which was originally registered under Samruddha Jeevan, a company linked to businessman Mahesh Motewar, accused of financial fraud. Despite extensive searches, the CID had been unable to locate the vehicle until now.

The car, bearing registration number WB-02-AB 123, was recently found at Tushar Kalate’s farmhouse in Mulshi, near Pune. Videos have also surfaced showing Koratkar and Kalate in the company of controversial tantrik Manohar Bhosale, who has previously faced allegations of fraud and sexual exploitation under the guise of occult practices.

Mahesh Motewar, accused of defrauding investors of ₹4,700 crore, was arrested in 2015. His assets were supposed to be auctioned to recover funds for investors. Among these assets was the Rolls-Royce, worth ₹7-8 crore, which was seized by authorities but never auctioned. The CBI and CID had issued a notice in 2015 stating that the car could not be sold.

However, Koratkar allegedly leveraged his connections with senior police officials to have the notice withdrawn. The car was then shown as having an outstanding loan, allowing it to be auctioned through a bank. Kalate later purchased the car for ₹2 crore. Koratkar was seen driving it in Pune’s Range Hills area, capturing photos and videos, while the Kolhapur Police and CID continued searching for the missing vehicle.
