34th DIPEX to Shape Indias Technological Future Set to be Held in Pune

Pune: The 34th edition of DIPEX, a prestigious technological exhibition that guides India’s technological landscape, will be hosted in Pune. Organized jointly by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Sujan, the Department of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation of the Maharashtra Government, College of Engineering Pune Technology University, and Savitribai Phule Pune University, DIPEX 2025 will take place from April 3 to April 6, 2025, at the College of Engineering Pune Technology University grounds.

DIPEX 2025 city will be named after Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, while the exhibition itself will be dedicated to Padma Vibhushan Late Ratan Tata.

DIPEX serves as a platform for diploma engineering, agriculture, and ITI students from Maharashtra and Goa to showcase their working projects and compete in the exhibition. The event was founded in 1986 with the vision of ensuring that final-year diploma and engineering students work on socially relevant projects that can contribute to society. DIPEX aims to utilize technology to improve rural life and bridge the gap between education, society, and industry. It provides a holistic platform for young minds to develop technical skills while fostering entrepreneurship and solving real-world problems.
Highlights of DIPEX 2025
2000 projects registered

Preliminary round conducted at 11 locations across Maharashtra

5000+ students participated in the initial screening

400+ projects and 2000 students will showcase their work in the final exhibition in Pune

This year, DIPEX 2025 will feature projects under 11 key themes:
Agricultural Technology

Artificial Intelligence

Defense & Cyber Security

Energy

Healthcare & Medical Technology

Industrial Automation

Mobility

Safety

Sustainable Urban Infrastructure

Waste Management

Open Innovation

DIPEX 2025 will witness participation from 191 diploma and engineering colleges across 38 districts in Maharashtra and Goa, showcasing 324 projects. Additionally, 100 top ITI projects from Maharashtra will be included in the exhibition.
An estimated 100,000 visitors, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, small-business owners, educational institutions, and incubation centers, are expected to attend the event in Pune.

The best projects under all 11 themes will be awarded first and second prizes, along with several special awards.
During a press conference, key organizing committee members shared their thoughts on DIPEX 2025:
Prakash Dhoka, DIPEX 2025 Welcome Committee Chairman, stated, “DIPEX is shaping the future of India’s technology sector. In this era of science, technology, and artificial intelligence, DIPEX provides students with an exclusive platform to innovate and showcase their talents.”

Prasenjit Fadnavis, DIPEX 2025 Welcome Committee Secretary, added, “DIPEX is a mega-event showcasing top student projects from Maharashtra and Goa. Twelve years ago, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam graced this very platform. DIPEX fosters discussions on science, technology, and sustainable development with a social impact.”

Sankalp Phaldessai, DIPEX 2025 Convenor, remarked, “This year, we have witnessed an overwhelming participation of 2003 projects across Maharashtra and Goa. Out of these, 400 outstanding projects have been shortlisted and will be exhibited at the grand venue named ‘Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Nagar’ at COEP College grounds in Pune. We urge everyone to visit DIPEX 2025 and explore this grand gathering of student innovations, research, and technological advancements.”

DIPEX 2025 is set to be a landmark event, providing an inspirational and resourceful platform for young innovators to contribute to India’s technological future.
