Pune: A case has been registered against the ‘Flying Panda’ theme park for installing flex banners without permission and defacing public property in the Sinhagad Road area. The park also refused to pay the fine imposed by the Pune Municipal Corporation.

Yuvraj Vivek Wagh (33), a resident of Dhankawadi, Pune, has lodged the complaint at Sinhagad Road Police Station. Wagh works as a License and Sky Sign Inspector in the Pune Municipal Corporation.

According to his complaint, on March 21, unauthorized flex banners of the ‘Flying Panda’ theme park were found displayed in the Maniknagar area along Sinhagad Road, causing defacement of the surroundings. Approximately 12 to 15 banners had been put up without obtaining the required permission.

Inspector Wagh issued an order to the theme park’s owner to pay a fine of ₹1,000 per flex, totaling between ₹12,000 and ₹15,000. However, the park’s owner refused to pay the fine, following which Wagh filed a complaint with the police.

Sinhagad Road Police have registered a case under the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act and Advertisement and Hoarding Control Rules. Police constable Katke is investigating the case.
