Jalgaon: Minister Girish Mahajan has thrown down a direct challenge to former minister Eknath Khadse, daring him to produce even a single piece of evidence to support his allegations. “If he shows just one proof, I will step away from active politics,” Mahajan declared.
Khadse recently made serious accusations against Mahajan, claiming—based on a journalist’s report—that the minister is in a relationship with a female IAS officer. He further stated that call recordings related to the alleged affair are with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Reacting strongly, Mahajan said, “They should show the proof to the public instead of just making noise. Don’t go around saying you gave proof to someone privately. These are lies, and they feel no shame spreading them. I’m warning them now—don’t push me. If I reveal just one thing about Khadse, people won’t let him walk out without facing public outrage. But I won’t speak about it, it’s a personal matter. Don’t force me to talk.”
He also alleged that Khadse orchestrated this entire issue by feeding the story to a so-called journalist to make it public.
Khadse, on the other hand, maintained that the relationship between Mahajan and the female IAS officer is known to Amit Shah as well. “If I ever get the chance to meet Amit Shah again, I will definitely ask him about these allegations against Mahajan,” he said.
This war of words has intensified the political drama in Maharashtra, putting both leaders in the spotlight once again.
