Pune: In a significant enforcement action, the Yerwada Police have sealed Hotel Unicorn House, located in Cerebrum IT Park, Kalyani Nagar, for allegedly violating provisions of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act, 1949. The action was taken under Section 142(2) of the Act and was carried out in the presence of two panch witnesses, as per official procedure.
According to police officials, the sealing was conducted following a panchanama, and appropriate legal protocols were followed during the operation.
The hotel manager, identified as James Vasantkumar Khaloka, 37, a resident of Jadhav Vasti, Mundhwa, has been officially served a written notice informing him of the action taken.
Further investigation is underway to determine the extent of the violations and whether additional legal action is warranted. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to strict implementation of the Prohibition Act and maintaining law and order in the area.
