Pune: Passengers on a Goa-to-Pune flight experienced major inconvenience late Sunday night when their journey was delayed by more than four hours, with some raising concerns over passenger safety at Pune Airport.
The flight, which was initially scheduled to depart Goa at 8:05 PM, was delayed multiple times and eventually took off around 12:20 AM on Monday, landing in Pune close to 1:15 AM. According to a passenger traveling with family, the airline only informed them of the rescheduled departure time — 11:45 PM — at around 5:30 PM. By then, many had already reached the airport and had to endure long waiting hours.
The difficulties didn’t stop upon arrival. Passengers reported being asked to walk across the active tarmac to reach the terminal, navigating amidst moving airport vehicles. This raised concerns regarding the safety protocols being followed at Pune Airport.
Travelers expressed disappointment over both the delay and the lack of proper communication and management, calling for better handling of such situations in the future.
