Pune: A swift and strategic operation by Crime Branch Unit-6 led to the arrest of a key accused in a house burglary case on April 14, 2025. The suspect, Bhavesh Ravindra Patil (24), a resident of Akay Complex, Bypass Road, Wagholi, Pune, was apprehended after police received a confidential tip-off about his presence in the Wagholi area.
Police Sub-Inspector Ramkrishna Dalvi and his team were patrolling the locality when they acted on the intelligence received from an informant. The suspect was wanted in connection with a case registered at Baner Police Station (CR No. 1005/24) under IPC Sections 331(3), 331(4), and 301(1).
Upon being taken into custody and interrogated, Patil confessed to his involvement in the crime. Following standard procedure, he underwent a medical examination before being handed over to Baner Police Station for further investigation.
This effective operation was executed under the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingle and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime-2) Rajendra Mulik. The team from Crime Branch Unit-6 included PI Wahid Pathan, PSI Ramkrishna Dalvi, and officers Rishikesh Takawane, Sachin Pawar, Nitin Dhadge, Kirti Mandale, and Pratiksha Pansare.
