Pune: In a major crackdown on narcotics, Khadki Police have seized mephedrone (MD) worth ₹10.6 lakh and registered a criminal case against two individuals under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. One of the accused has been arrested.
The arrested suspect has been identified as Bajranglal Bhagwanram Khilleri (21), a resident of Jadhavwadi, Moshi, Pune, originally from Rajasthan. The second accused has been named as Dineshkumar Manilaljani, a resident of Lalpur in Jalore district, Rajasthan.
According to police officials, the seizure took place around 1 p.m. on April 16 near Bopodi Metro Station. Officers from Unit 2 of the Crime Branch’s Anti-Narcotics Cell apprehended Khilleri during a targeted operation.
