Malegaon (Nashik):
In a significant move, Maharashtra’s School Education Minister Dada Bhuse has announced that school uniforms will soon be made mandatory for all teachers across the state. The government will also allocate special funds to support the implementation of this teacher dress code, he said during his visit to the Zilla Parishad school in Ajang village, Malegaon taluka.

While addressing the media, Minister Bhuse stated, “Some schools already have a dress code for teachers, but many do not. To bring uniformity and discipline across all educational institutions, we are planning to implement a state-wide mandatory uniform policy for teachers.”

Interestingly, the teachers of Ajang school were seen wearing uniforms during the visit, which drew appreciation from the minister. He praised the school’s management and suggested that other schools in the state should take inspiration from Ajang.

The event was held as part of a CSR initiative by ONGC and Avant Foundation, during which educational desks and school bags were distributed to students. Minister Bhuse used the occasion to emphasize the importance of quality education and active student participation. He said, “Students should attend school regularly, parents should maintain open communication with their children, and schools should conduct excursions and engaging activities to make learning more joyful and effective.”

With the teacher uniform policy soon to be rolled out, the state aims to promote a sense of equality, discipline, and professionalism among educators—ensuring they stand alongside students not just as mentors, but also as role models in uniform.
