Rotational Water Cuts in Pune from May 5 Due to ShortagePMC Issues Area-Wise Schedule

Pune: Beginning Monday, May 5, 2025, several parts of Pune receiving water from the Vadgaon water purification plant will face rotational water supply interruptions. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has implemented this measure in response to a growing water shortage in the region.

The PMC announced that affected areas will experience a full day without water on a rotating basis. Localities impacted include Dhayari, Suncity, Vadgaon Budruk, Hingne, Sahakarnagar, Dhankawadi, Balajinagar, Ambegaon Pathar, Dattanagar, Santosh Nagar, Bharati Vidyapeeth campus, Agam Mandir, Katraj, and Kondhwa Budruk.

Monday, May 5:
Water supply will be suspended in Balajinagar, covering Shrihari Society, Gurudatta Society, Nivara Society, Saikrupa Society, Gulmohar Society, and the area near Pawar Hospital. In Katraj, Utkarsh Society, Gujarvasti, areas near Katraj Lake (east side), and Choudhary Gothe will be affected. Kondhwa Budruk’s Sainagar, Gajanan Maharajnagar, Shantinagar Society, Mahananda Society, Shrikrishna Colony, and Sawant Colony are also on the list.

Tuesday, May 6:
Old Dhayari and Suncity residents will face a supply cut. Specific zones include Ujwal Terrace, Dalviwadi, Warangani Mala, Pare Company Road, entire Suncity, Manikbagh, Samarthanagar, Mahalaxmi Society, Madhukar Hospital vicinity, Vitthalwadi, and Vitthalnagar. In Katraj, Rajas Society, Niranjan Society, Kamala City, State Bank Society, and the new post office area will be affected. Kondhwa Budruk areas including Kamthe Patilnagar, Khadimachine Chowk, Sinhgad College zone, Haw Town Society, and Kolte Patil Society (Ward 37) will also see disruptions.

Wednesday, May 7:
Supply will be suspended in Wadgaon Budruk, Wadgaon Highway area, Peru Baug, Dhabadi, Jadhav Nagar, Wadgaon Gaothan, Khurad Vasti, Sudatta Sankul, and Samarthanagar. Societies near Santosh Hall in Anandnagar, Hingne, Mahadev Nagar, Anand Vihar, and Rajiv Gandhi Vasahat will also be affected. In Katraj, Waghjai Nagar, Bhande Ali, Sukhada Varda Society, Samrat Tower, and areas behind Ambamata Mandir will face interruptions.

Residents are urged to store adequate water in advance and conserve usage during the affected days. The PMC has requested cooperation from citizens to manage the crisis efficiently.
