Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif once again made a false allegation late Saturday night, claiming that India launched the first attack on Pakistan and must now face the consequences. Speaking to the nation at 11:30 PM IST, Sharif declared that Pakistan had “once again emerged victorious” in the recent conflict.

During his 30-minute address, Sharif praised the Pakistan Army and its chief, General Asim Munir, saying, “We are proud of you.” He asserted that Pakistan would pursue this battle until the very end and warned that “the army and people of Pakistan are fully capable of defending the nation’s honour. We will rise as a force and defeat the enemy.”

Sharif accused India of using the Pahalgam terror attack as an excuse to strike Pakistan. “We had already demanded an investigation into the incident. But India chose to disregard international law and took the wrong path,” he said. Reiterating Pakistan’s stand on Kashmir, he added, “Kashmir remains a disputed issue and will remain so until the Kashmiri people get their rights.”

Sharif further claimed that “26 innocent Pakistani civilians, including women and children, were martyred in India’s cowardly attacks.” He praised the Pakistan Air Force for retaliating “within its borders and shattering Indian jets into pieces.”

So far, India has not issued an official response. However, sources in New Delhi have clarified that India carried out targeted strikes only on terrorist camps and did not attack any civilian areas in Pakistan.

Sharif also thanked countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, China, and the United States for their diplomatic support and lauded U.S. President Donald Trump for mediating a ceasefire between the two nations.
