Pimpri – A shocking incident occurred on Sunday night in Krishnaai Colony, Walhekarwadi, Chinchwad, where a 17-year-old girl was brutally stabbed by two men who arrived on a motorcycle. The girl sustained grievous injuries and succumbed before receiving medical treatment. Police have detained the two accused by midnight.
The deceased has been identified as Komal Bharat Jadhav (17), a resident of Krishnaai Colony in Walhekarwadi, Chinchwad. Komal lived with her mother and brother. Due to her father’s alcohol addiction, her mother had separated from him a few years ago and was living independently.
According to the police, at around 8:30 PM on Sunday, Komal’s cousin Aditi, daughter of her maternal uncle Sachin Mane, called him frantically and informed that Komal had been attacked with a knife by two men on a bike and was lying unconscious in a pool of blood. Sachin Mane immediately rushed to the spot and took Komal to Oxycare Hospital in his vehicle. Upon examination, doctors advised shifting her to YCM Hospital for urgent care. However, she was declared dead upon arrival at YCM.
Meanwhile, Chinchwad police visited the scene and have begun an investigation. The exact motive behind the attack remains unknown.
