Pune: Sugandha Hiremath, the sister of Bharat Forge Chairman and Managing Director Baba Kalyani, along with Gaurishankar Kalyani, has filed an application to amend her previous case regarding the partition of the Kalyani family’s Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) property. She seeks to be recognized as a joint heir in the ongoing dispute, which is set to be heard in a Pune civil court on Tuesday.
Hiremath has also filed an affidavit in connection with a property partition case initially filed in 2014 by Baba’s niece, Sheetal Kalyani. The family dispute involves three key siblings: Baba Kalyani, Gaurishankar Kalyani, and Sugandha Hiremath.
In her affidavit, Hiremath claims that she has been unfairly denied her rightful share of the Kalyani family’s property. To support her claim, she has attached an affidavit from her mother, Sulochana Kalyani, dated December 9, 2022. Hiremath has also submitted a detailed list of 250 companies—both listed and unlisted—which have a combined market value of approximately Rs one lakh crore, along with a list of 76 immovable properties. She is requesting her rightful share as a joint heir in this vast estate.
In addition, Hiremath’s legal team has filed a separate application in court, requesting that the family property dispute be moved to a fast-track court. They have also urged for the appointment of an administrator to safeguard the property until the court issues its final verdict. The court is expected to hear both applications on Tuesday.
