Pune: A young man was seriously injured in a knife attack by three men in Vidyanagar, Chinchwad, in the early hours of Thursday. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. when the victim had stepped outside his home for a short break.
The accused have been identified as Rajput (full details yet to be confirmed) and two accomplices, whose identities remain unknown. The injured victim, Rajesh Babu Kumar, 24, a resident of Vidyanagar, filed a complaint at Pimpri Police Station following the attack.
According to police reports, Rajesh stepped outside his house when the accused called out to him. Upon his refusal to approach, the assailants verbally abused him and then stabbed him with a kitchen knife, inflicting serious injuries on his back and neck.
Pimpri Police have registered a case and are currently conducting further investigations to apprehend the accused.
