Pune: A disturbing case has emerged from Pune’s Sahakarnagar area, where a woman was allegedly molested by a self-styled astrologer and spiritual healer. The accused, identified as 45-year-old Akhilesh Rajguru from Dhankawadi, has been arrested by the Sahakarnagar police following the woman’s complaint.
According to the police, the woman had initially visited Rajguru’s office to consult about her elder brother’s horoscope. During the session, Rajguru claimed that a special plant was required for her brother’s wellbeing and asked her to return on Saturday to collect it. He later sent her a message confirming that the item had arrived.
When the woman informed him that she would be accompanied by her sister, Rajguru insisted that she come alone and specifically told her not to bring anyone along. Placing her trust in him, the woman visited his office alone.
Upon her arrival, Rajguru allegedly tried to forcibly kiss her under the pretext of giving her the item. Disturbed and alarmed by the incident, the woman left the premises and approached the police immediately.
The Sahakarnagar police responded promptly and arrested Rajguru. An investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
