Pune : Air India Express is set to boost regional connectivity with the launch of direct flights between Pune and Mangalore, starting on January 4, 2025. The new flights will operate twice every Saturday, offering convenient options for passengers with both morning and evening departures.

The flight schedule includes departures from Pune at 9:55 AM and 8:35 PM, arriving in Mangalore at 11:40 AM and 10:05 PM, respectively. Return flights from Mangalore to Pune will leave at 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM, with arrivals in Pune at 9:25 AM and 8:00 PM.

This new service is expected to significantly enhance connectivity between Pune and Mangalore, catering to both business and leisure travelers. The introduction of this route underscores Air India Express’s commitment to expanding its domestic network and offering seamless travel experiences for passengers.

In addition to the Pune-Mangalore route, Air India Express recently launched flights from Pune to Bangkok on December 21, 2024. These flights operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, further enhancing the airline’s domestic and international reach.

Currently, Air India Express operates over 90 weekly flights from Pune, connecting the city to 10 domestic destinations, including Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mangalore. The new Bangkok service further exemplifies the airline’s dedication to providing affordable, accessible travel options for its passengers.

The direct flight between Pune and Mangalore is expected to strengthen business and cultural ties between the two cities. Mangalore’s educational institutions, industries, and tourist attractions will be more easily accessible to Pune residents, while Mangaloreans will benefit from enhanced access to Pune’s commercial and cultural offerings.
