Pune: In the recently concluded Pune Bar Association elections, Adv. Hemant Zanjad secured victory as the President. Adv. Sameer Bhunde and Adv. Surekha Bhosale were elected as Vice Presidents, while Adv. Prithviraj Thorat and Adv. Bhagyashree Gujar won the positions of Secretary. Adv. Indrajit Bhoite was elected as Treasurer, and Adv. Kedar Shitole was elected unopposed as the Auditor.
The annual elections of the Pune Bar Association were held on Friday, followed by the vote counting in the evening. In the presidential race, Adv. Hemant Zanjad received 3,329 votes, defeating his opponent Adv. Pr. Nalawade, who secured 1,714 votes, by a margin of 1,615 votes.
For the Vice President position, there were four candidates in the fray. Adv. Sameer Bhunde (3,333 votes) and Adv. Surekha Bhosale (1,919 votes) emerged victorious, while their opponents Adv. Sagar Gaikwad (1,648 votes) and Adv. Vanmala Anuse (1,428 votes) lost.
For the Secretary post, five candidates contested. Adv. Prithviraj Thorat (3,174 votes) and Adv. Bhagyashree Gujar (3,156 votes) won, defeating their opponents Adv. Mahendra Dalalkar (786 votes), Adv. Ganesh Tharkude (654 votes), and Adv. Sushma Yadav (835 votes).
For the Treasurer post, Adv. Indrajit Bhoite was elected, while Adv. Kedar Shitole was elected unopposed as Auditor.
