Pune : In the annual elections of the Pune Family Court Lawyers Association, held on Friday at the Family Court premises in Shivajinagar, the ‘Ekta Panel’ achieved a clean sweep, winning all 11 posts and establishing its dominance. Advocate Kalpana Nikam was elected as the President with a clear majority.
A total of 22 candidates were in the fray for various positions. In a triangular contest for the post of President, Adv. Kalpana Nikam secured a decisive victory by polling 290 votes. Her rivals, Adv. Pragati Patil and Adv. Dhanashree Patil, received 130 and 9 votes respectively.
For the two Vice President positions, Adv. Prathamesh Bhoite and Adv. Smita Deshpande emerged victorious with 277 and 252 votes respectively.
Adv. Komal Deshmukh won the post of Secretary with the highest vote count of 312. Adv. Charmaine Ann Lazarus was elected as Joint Secretary, while Adv. Rahul Jadhav was declared elected as Treasurer.
The elected Executive Committee Members include Adv. Amruta Pawar, Adv. Pratiksha Rathi, Adv. Sambhaji Panchal, Adv. Amol Ujankar, and Adv. Nilesh Warankar.
The voting process was conducted peacefully, and the results were declared late at night. The election process was overseen by Chief Election Officer Adv. Santosh Naidu, with support from Adv. Ramakant Vaidkar and Adv. Vilas Raut.
