Pune – In a fiery outburst, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar issued a strong warning to undisciplined residents of Baramati, declaring that anyone caught flouting traffic rules—no matter who their father is—will be beaten with a tire if needed to teach them a lesson.

Pawar made these remarks during the inauguration of Savitri Hospital in Baramati, directly addressing local residents. “The Mahayuti government is working hard for Baramati, Indapur, and Maharashtra. But undisciplined behavior will no longer be tolerated,” he said.

He pointed out several issues plaguing the city: people throwing garbage on the roads, letting animals roam freely, and traffic violations like overtaking from the wrong side. “If someone is caught trying to overtake from the wrong side, even if he is the son of a big man, I’ll instruct the police to beat him with a tire so hard that he remembers it for ten generations,” Pawar warned.

He further added that owners of stray animals—cows, donkeys, and others—must tie them up and take proper care. “Baramati’s development is not an invitation for people or animals to roam freely,” he said. Pawar warned that cases will be filed against owners who fail to restrain their animals.

Referring to his efforts in planting trees and creating public spaces, Pawar lamented that some individuals misuse these areas. “Where we’ve made seating arrangements for people, someone parks his bike and leisurely chats with friends. I turned my car around and told the police—seize his vehicle and teach him a lesson with the tire,” he narrated.

“This is not about position or power. Rules are the same for me, my relatives, and every citizen. No exceptions,” Pawar concluded, making it clear that strict discipline is now the new norm in Baramati.
