Pune: In a strong move to tackle the increasing incidents of vehicle vandalism in Pune, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar issued firm directives to law enforcement officials. Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, Pawar instructed the Police Commissioner and Rural Superintendent to publicly parade those accused in such cases as a deterrent to potential offenders.
Expressing concern over the notorious “Koyta Gang,” Pawar emphasized the need for decisive action. “What is this Koyta Gang I keep hearing about? They must be brought under control. The accused should be paraded publicly so that people are made aware of their crimes,” he asserted.
This directive is seen as part of a broader strategy to reinforce public safety and instill fear among miscreants in the region.
