Pune: Praful Lodha, already in custody in the high-profile honey trap case, has now been booked in yet another rape case—this time in Pune. A 36-year-old married woman residing in Kothrud has lodged a complaint against Lodha at Bavdhan Police Station, accusing him of rape.
According to the woman’s complaint, Lodha had allegedly lured her with the promise of a job for her husband. On May 27, he called her to a hotel in Balewadi, where he reportedly made sexual advances. When she resisted, he allegedly threatened her by saying her own job would be jeopardized and then forcibly raped her.
Praful Lodha is already facing serious allegations in Mumbai, where cases have been registered against him at Andheri MIDC and Sakinaka police stations. These cases involve charges of sexual assault on minors, threats, and honey-trap-style blackmail. He has been booked under the POCSO Act along with charges of rape, fraud, and extortion. Lodha was arrested by the Sakinaka police on July 5 and is currently in the custody of Mumbai Police.
