Pune: In a distressing incident, a 15-year-old Class 9 student sustained severe injuries after jumping from the terrace of a building in Sambhaji Nagar, Kadamwak Wasti (Taluka Haveli), late Thursday night around 11 p.m.
The injured girl has been identified as Samruddhi Satish Dhage, a resident of Kadamwak Wasti. She is currently receiving medical care at Vishwaraj Hospital in Loni Kalbhor, where doctors have described her condition as critical.
According to reports, Samruddhi, who studies at a reputed school in the Loni Kalbhor area, was at home with her family on Thursday evening. After the family retired for the night around 9 p.m., the incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m., when she reportedly jumped from the terrace, suffering serious injuries upon impact.
Upon being alerted, Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Panhale, Police Sub-Inspector Anil Jadhav, and Police Constable Ketan Dhende from Loni Kalbhor Police Station promptly arrived at the scene. With assistance from her relatives, police rushed Samruddhi to Vishwaraj Hospital for urgent treatment.
Authorities are yet to determine the reason behind the incident. Loni Kalbhor Police have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
