Ahilyanagar, 25 November 2025: A shocking incident has surfaced from Shrirampur, where District Congress Committee president Sachin Gujar was allegedly abducted early Monday morning while out on his routine walk.
CCTV footage from the area shows unidentified suspects pulling Gujar into a vehicle parked near the spot. Sources indicate that he may have been assaulted after the abduction. He was later taken to a hospital for treatment, though his current condition has not been officially confirmed.
The video was shared on social media by Congress leader Balasaheb, triggering widespread outrage across the state. The Congress has accused the state government of complete failure on law and order, questioning how a senior political office-bearer could be kidnapped in a public space.
Opposition leaders have raised concerns over citizen safety, asking, “If such incidents can happen to prominent leaders on an open road, how safe are ordinary people?”
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. A special team has been formed to trace the suspects. The Home Department has not yet issued an official statement.
