Pune: In a coordinated operation, officials from the Southern Command Army Intelligence and Kondhwa Police apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals living illegally in India. The raid took place at a labour camp near Punyadham Ashram Road, within the premises of Notting Hill Society in Kondhwa on June 13, 2025.

The crackdown was initiated following credible intelligence reports indicating the presence of undocumented immigrants at the location. As the joint team moved in, the suspects reportedly attempted to flee but were swiftly detained by the authorities.

The individuals taken into custody have been identified as:
Swapan Mandal (39), son of Nidhubhushan Mandal, resident of Banshtala village, Shibpur Union, Satkhira district, Bangladesh

Mithun Kumar Santal (35), son of Dishap Mondal, from Kart village, Ashashuni Union, Satkhira

Ranodhir Mandal (29), son of Kumar Pada Mandal, from Andulpota village, Khanpur Union, Satkhira

Dilip Mandal (38), son of Nemal Mondal, hailing from Hijabdanga village, Bangdaha Union, Satkhira

All four detainees are currently undergoing joint interrogation by intelligence and police officials to determine the extent of their stay in India, their activities, and any potential network they may be part of.

Authorities are expected to take further action following the results of the ongoing investigation.
