Pune: A shocking incident unfolded in Lakshmi Nagar, Kondhwa, on Tuesday night, where a gang of vandals—suspected to be the infamous “Koyta Gang”—was caught on CCTV damaging multiple vehicles. The video, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the group wreaking havoc on Lane Number 4.
Eyewitness accounts and initial reports suggest that around 10 to 12 vehicles were damaged during the late-night rampage. The list includes nine two-wheelers, one auto-rickshaw, and a four-wheeler. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but the incident has sparked fear and unrest among local residents.
Following the vandalism, about 12 to 14 affected residents visited Kondhwa Police Station to register complaints. FIRs have been filed, and an investigation is currently underway.
Kondhwa police have assured the public that identification of the suspects is in progress. “We are thoroughly examining CCTV footage and other technical evidence. The perpetrators will be located and dealt with according to the law,” said officials.
