Pune: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will commence the 10th-grade exams across the state tomorrow, February 21, 2025. A total of 16,11,610 students are registered to appear for the exams.
According to the Board’s Chairman, Sharad Gosavi, the student body is made up of 8,64,120 boys, 7,47,471 girls, and 19 transgender students. He also confirmed that 23,492 secondary schools have registered candidates, and the exams will be conducted at 5,130 main centers throughout the state.
In a bid to prevent any malpractice, Gosavi announced that the Board has made significant arrangements for exam security. The staff at 701 exam centers have been replaced, with notable changes in Pune (139 centers), Nashik (93 centers), Nagpur (86 centers), Mumbai (18 centers), Kolhapur (54 centers), and Latur (59 centers). To further enhance security, district administration will be using drone cameras to monitor activities at the exam centers.
The 10th-grade exams are a crucial step for students, and these measures aim to ensure smooth and fair conduct throughout the state.
