Maharashtra: The Maharashtra government has issued significant transfers and postings within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, effective immediately. The changes involve key positions in municipal corporations and rural administration bodies across the state.
Parag Soman (IAS:SCS:2014), who was serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Mumbai Metro Region Slum Rehabilitation Authority in Thane, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad in Wardha.
Sachin Kalantre (IAS:SCS:2014), currently Municipal Commissioner of Amravati Municipal Corporation, has been posted as Deputy Director General of YASHADA, Pune.
Saumya Sharma-Chandak (IAS:RR:2018), previously Chief Executive Officer of Smart City Nagpur, will now take charge as Municipal Commissioner of Amravati Municipal Corporation.
Jithin Rahman (IAS:RR:2020), who was Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Wardha, has been transferred as Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Beed.
These transfers reflect the state government’s continued efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and governance across Maharashtra’s urban and rural bodies.
