Pune: Passengers traveling between Pune and Delhi on Tuesday were left frustrated after significant delays disrupted SpiceJet’s scheduled flights, causing hours-long waits and widespread inconvenience.
Flight SG 937, originally set to depart from Pune at 5:55 am, was delayed by nearly 12 hours. The flight eventually took off at 5:30 pm and landed in Delhi around 7:50 pm. Its return leg, SG 185, scheduled to leave Delhi for Pune at 9:15 am, also faced a prolonged delay, finally departing at 3:51 pm.
Several passengers expressed their dissatisfaction with the airline’s handling of the situation, citing poor communication and lack of assistance throughout the day. “They mentioned a technical problem, but no clear updates were given. I spent the entire day at the airport with no real support. It was draining,” said a traveler who requested anonymity.
SpiceJet representatives attributed the delays to technical issues with the aircraft, but many travelers criticized the airline’s crisis management and lack of transparency.
This episode has once again brought attention to the ongoing issues of flight reliability and customer service on high-traffic domestic routes such as Pune to Delhi.
