Sangli: A man has been arrested for sexually harassing a young woman traveling at night in a Shivshahi bus from Pune to Sangli. This incident comes soon after a similar case of molestation in a Shivshahi bus at Pune’s Swargate bus station.
The incident occurred between 11 PM and 12:15 AM while the bus was en route from Ashta to Sangli. The accused Vaibhav Vasant Kamble allegedly touched the woman inappropriately through the window and the gap between the seats. Upon reaching the Sangli bus station, the victim immediately informed the bus driver and other passengers about the harassment.
The 24-year-old victim, originally from Shirol taluka, currently resides in Pune for work. She filed a complaint at the Sangli City Police Station, following which the police swiftly took action and arrested Kamble.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
