Pune: A shocking incident took place in Pune’s Kothrud area on Sunday, where a man was caught filming inside a public restroom. The accused, identified as 35-year-old Mangesh Jawahire, has been booked at the Alankar Police Station.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 7 PM at a lawn in Kothrud, where a dance festival was being held. Some attendees noticed suspicious activity and raised an alarm after discussing that someone was filming inside the restroom. Chaos ensued as people confronted the accused. While attempting to flee, he was caught and beaten by workers at the venue.
Police officers present at the scene took the accused into custody and checked his mobile phone. The investigation revealed that he had recorded videos, but only in the men’s restroom and not in the women’s facility.
