Pune: A minor boy was brutally murdered by a father and his two sons for talking to their daughter in Wagholi’s Wagheshwarnagar area late Tuesday night.
The accused, using an iron rod and stones, killed 17-year-old Ganesh Waghu Dhande. The three accused—Laxman Petkar (60), Nitin Petkar (31), and Sudhir Petkar (32)—have been arrested by Wagholi police. A court has remanded them to police custody until January 6.
According to the police, Ganesh regularly tried to converse with Laxman Petkar’s daughter, which the Petkar family strongly disapproved of. Frustrated by the situation, they plotted the murder.
The incident occurred around 12:30 AM on Tuesday in the Ghorvasti, Wagheshwarnagar area. Ganesh was out with a friend when the accused confronted him and launched a brutal attack using an iron rod and stones. Ganesh succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
A case of murder has been registered against the three accused.
