Pune: A grim discovery was made early on the morning of April 12 in Khirid Vasti near Bharatmata Chowk, Moshi, when two young men were found hanging from the same branch of a lemon tree. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of the MIDC Bhosari Police Station and has sent shockwaves through the local community.
The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Tushar Ashok Dhage, a resident of Honda Pimpalgaon in Jamkhed Taluka, Ahilya Nagar District, and 30-year-old Sikandar Sallauddin Shaikh, who is reportedly from the same village.
According to the police, both individuals were known to be close friends and had travelled to Pune from their hometown just a day before the tragic event. Their bodies were discovered hanging from a single branch, leading authorities to suspect a suicide pact, although the investigation is still in its early stages.
Tushar Dhage’s uncle, Dattatray Raosaheb Dhage, a resident of Sanaswadi in Shirur Taluka, was promptly informed by the authorities.
Senior Inspector of MIDC Bhosari Police Station confirmed that a comprehensive investigation is underway. “Initial findings indicate the two were good friends, but we are exploring all possible angles to determine what led to this incident,” he stated.
