Pune: NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule has alleged that the death of Tanisha Bhise, who was admitted for delivery at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune, was not a natural death but a murder caused due to medical negligence. She has demanded immediate criminal charges against the doctors involved in the case.
The hospital first demanded a deposit of Rs. 10 lakh from the Bhise family for the delivery procedure. When the family was unable to pay, they were advised to go to Sassoon Hospital. Following the delivery at Sassoon, Tanisha Bhise tragically passed away.
Speaking on the matter, Supriya Sule said, “This was not just a case of death, it was murder. Dr. Ghaisas resigning doesn’t solve the issue. We don’t want a resignation; we want strict action from the government. The report of a committee clearly points to negligence by the hospital administration. Hence, everyone involved must be booked under criminal charges.”
She further added that the newborn twins delivered by Tanisha are in critical condition and are currently being treated in the ICU. “The family is going through unimaginable pain. The government must show sensitivity. What happened to Tanisha should never happen to any daughter in Maharashtra again,” said Sule.
She demanded full transparency in the case, including the release of CCTV footage and other evidence to the public. Sule stressed that everyone, directly or indirectly involved in the incident, must be held accountable and punished within a specific timeframe.
“This is about justice, and the truth must come out,” she concluded.
