Pune: After prolonged inconvenience caused by illegal parking, the persistent issue of parking encroachment in Kalbhor Nagar, Ward No. 14, has finally been resolved following the strong intervention of a frustrated resident.
For a long time, haphazard parking of two-wheelers and four-wheelers outside the TVS showroom and service center had been creating major disruptions for locals. Adding to the chaos, tempo trucks unloading showroom materials frequently blocked the road, leading to severe traffic congestion. Residents often found themselves waiting indefinitely to access their own vehicles, resulting in heated disputes with vehicle owners.
The matter escalated when one affected resident decided to take direct action, physically removing illegally parked vehicles and confronting the TVS showroom management over the issue. This intervention led to immediate corrective measures, with the showroom management agreeing to deploy two security guards at the entrance to regulate parking and prevent further violations.
To ensure a permanent solution, the TVS showroom will install “No Parking” boards along the road leading into Kalbhor Nagar. Additionally, poles and chain barriers will be set up to prevent further encroachment. The showroom has taken full responsibility for enforcing these measures, bringing significant relief to residents who can now navigate the area without obstruction.
This decisive action has successfully restored order in the locality, highlighting the power of citizen intervention in addressing public grievances.
