Pimpri Chinchwad: In a major move to curb rising criminal activity, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have externed 26 repeat offenders—including the notorious ‘Akkya Bond’—from Pune district under the Maharashtra Police Act. The operation, executed across multiple zones, has resulted in externment orders of up to two years, aimed at dismantling criminal networks and enhancing public safety.
One of the most prominent names in the crackdown is Aakash alias Sumit alias Akkya Bond Pandurang Mohol (19) from Chikhali. Despite being just 19, Akkya Bond has amassed a record of 14 serious criminal cases during his time as a minor. He now faces new charges including attempted murder and dacoity, and has been banished from the district for two years.
Zone-Wise Crackdown Details
The externment orders span across five high-risk zones:
Chikhali – 8 criminals
Mahalunge MIDC – 3 criminals
Bhosari MIDC – 11 criminals
Dighi – 3 criminals
Chakan – 1 criminal
According to Additional Police Commissioner Sarang Awhad, 18 offenders have been externed for two years, while eight others will remain out of bounds for one year.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3), Dr. Shivaji Pawar, released names of several high-profile offenders:
Sharad Dnyaneshwar More (27) – Mahalunge MIDC – 2 years
Swayam Sabaji Sawant (27) and Sonu Bahiru Kedari (29) – Khed – 1 year each
Sangram Dattatray Pawar (29), Sumit Ganesh Pille (32), Kanishkaraj alias Rana Suravase (21), and Kunal Bhandari (23) – Chikhali – 2 years
Tejas Gaikwad (20), Rohan Pandit (23) – Chikhali – 1 year
Maruti Rathod (45) – Nigdi – 1 year; externed from both Pune city and Pimpri-Chinchwad
A notorious gang operating in the region, led by GK alias Ganesh Santosh Kothavale (19), has also been dismantled. The gang members, all externed for two years, include:
Sasa alias Pratik Gajarmal (19)
Rohit Raju Bajalav
VP alias Vishal Pol (21)
Baccha alias Digvijay Gaikwad (19)
They are accused in multiple serious criminal cases.
Other externed individuals tied to violent and gang activity include:

Sachin Dhande (20)
Deepak Dhande (24)
Rahul Jadhav (20) – All externed for 2 years
Vijay Salve (22) and Dnyaneshwar Dunghav (22) – 1 year
In a rare case, Nanda Salunke (50), a woman from Chakan facing four marijuana trafficking cases, has been externed for two years.
From Dighi, the following individuals were also ordered out of Pune district for two years:

Jayanta Sarkar (29)
Akshay Pathare (20)
91 Criminals Externed Since January
This is part of a sustained law enforcement campaign. Between January and May 2025, 91 habitual criminals from Zone 3 have been externed. DCP Pawar confirmed that over 100 more suspects are under surveillance as part of an ongoing crackdown.
“This operation sends a clear message: crime will not be tolerated. Repeat offenders will face strict legal consequences,” said DCP Dr. Shivaji Pawar.
The externment drive is being hailed as a significant step by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police to reinforce safety and deter repeat offenders in the district’s rapidly developing areas.
