Pune: To make the most of the summer season, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) has introduced an affordable and convenient bus service catering to tourists, devotees, and weekend travelers. This special summer tourism service, designed to explore scenic and spiritual destinations, is now available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
The service utilizes air-conditioned electric buses, providing passengers with an eco-friendly and comfortable travel experience. The ten different routes have been strategically planned to cover various heritage sites, temples, natural landmarks, and cultural spots. Buses depart at 9:00 AM and return in the evening, with fixed departure and return points such as Pune Station, Deccan Gymkhana, Swargate, and Hadapsar Depot. At just ₹500 per person, the service is an affordable choice for families and solo travelers alike.
For group bookings, PMPML offers discounts, with one in every six passengers (for a group of 33) traveling for free. To ensure smooth journeys, a guide will be available on each bus to assist passengers throughout the day. Bookings can be made at various PMPML pass centers located at Deccan, Pune Station, Swargate, Katraj, Hadapsar, Bhosari, Nigdi, and PMC.
In case of low turnout or unavoidable cancellations, travelers will have the option to reschedule their trip for a later date. Furthermore, ticket holders can use PMPML buses to travel to and from their homes on the same day as their tour.
