Pimpri Chinchwad: A coordination meeting was held on Thursday (5th June) at the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s office in light of the upcoming Ashadhi Wari at Shri Kshetra Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Alandi, which will take place from June 19 to July 6, 2025.
The meeting included detailed discussions on crowd management during the Wari, traffic arrangements, parking, deployment of manpower, and measures related to law and order.
Present at the meeting were Additional Commissioner Sarang Awhad, Deputy Commissioners Dr. Shivaji Pawar and Bapu Bangar, Assistant Commissioner Rajendrasingh Gaur, Senior Inspector of Alandi Police Station Bhimrao Narke, and Satish Nandurkar. Also in attendance were key representatives from Shri Kshetra Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Devasthan and Alandi Trust Committee, including Chief Trustee Yogi Niranjannath Guru, H.B.P. Shantinath Maharaj, Palanquin Departure Ceremony Head Dr. Bhavarth Dekhne, Manager Dnyaneshwar Veer, Trustee Adv. Rajendra Umap, H.B.P. Chaitanya Maharaj Londhe, H.B.P. Shrimahant Purushottam Maharaj, Murlidhar Patil, and Adv. Dr. Rohini Pawar.
Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choube reviewed potential challenges during the Wari, particularly traffic congestion, crowd control, and security measures, and issued necessary instructions. He emphasized the importance of coordination among departments to ensure meticulous planning so that citizens do not face any inconvenience.
The meeting aimed to ensure a well-organized and safe Wari through collaboration among the administration, police department, and the Devasthan Committee for the convenience of the devotees departing from Shri Kshetra Alandi. The dignitaries present reaffirmed their commitment to prioritizing the safety of the devotees.
