Pune: In a stern action against vehicle vandals, the police in Vadgaon Sheri paraded the accused through the streets to set an example.
A gang had allegedly threatened a young man with weapons and assaulted him in a housing society in Vadgaon Sheri. They also vandalized four four-wheelers, two auto-rickshaws, and two two-wheelers, creating an atmosphere of fear. The Chandan Nagar police immediately registered a case and arrested the culprits.
A total of eight accused have been booked in the case, of which six have been arrested, including two juveniles.
On Tuesday night, the police conducted a parade of the accused in the Vadgaon Sheri and Chandan Nagar areas. Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav stated that criminal gangs are increasingly trying to spread terror, and strict legal action will continue against such offenders.
