Pune: A couple sustained injuries in a road accident at Bopdev Ghat after their motorcycle was struck by a speeding auto-rickshaw near D.J. Petrol Pump. The Kondhwa Police have registered a case against the absconding rickshaw driver and launched a search operation.
The injured motorcyclist has been identified as Sunil Bhimsing Kunwar (27). According to reports, Kunwar and his wife were traveling through Bopdev Ghat when an auto-rickshaw, approaching from the opposite direction, collided with their two-wheeler, causing them to fall and sustain injuries.
The rickshaw driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle after the crash. Kondhwa Police have initiated an investigation and are working to locate the accused. Further updates on the case are awaited.
