Pune: The Anti-Narcotics Cell-I of the Pune Crime Branch has successfully dismantled a major drug operation, arresting two individuals and seizing 77 grams of Methamphetamine (MD), valued at an impressive ₹15.7 lakh. The accused, Husain Khan (21) and Faizan Shaikh (22), both residents of Kondhwa, were apprehended following a tip-off about their involvement in drug trafficking.
Acting on the intelligence, the Anti-Narcotics Cell conducted a swift raid, recovering the MD from a shop run by Husain Khan on MG Road. Senior Police Inspector Ulhas Kadam confirmed that the duo was arrested and will be presented in court, with further investigations underway.
Khan, identified as a key player in the operation, was operating a small shop where the drugs were found. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, with a team led by Senior Police Inspector Ulhas Kadam. The team included Assistant Police Inspector Aniket Pote and Police Constables Vishal Dalvi, Sandesh Kakade, Vinayak Salve, Dattaram Jadhav, Rehana Shaikh, Yogesh Mohite, and Vipul Gaikwad.
