Pune: On February 10, 2025, the Anti-Extortion Cell (Unit 1) of the Pune Crime Branch successfully apprehended two notorious criminals, Aniket Vinayak Jadhav (24) and Ganesh Tanaji Kinle (23), following a tip-off. The operation led the police to the NDA area on Khadakwasla Road, Kodraye Dhavade, Pune, where the duo was found in possession of illegal firearms.
A well-coordinated trap, executed by Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumbhar and Assistant Police Inspector Rajesh Malegave, led to the offenders’ arrest. Upon searching, officers recovered one country-made pistol and a live cartridge from Aniket Jadhav, while Ganesh Kinle was found with a country-made pistol and two live cartridges. The total value of the seized weapons and cartridges is estimated at ₹45,600.
Both offenders have been booked under relevant sections of the Maharashtra Police Act and are currently under further investigation.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior police officers, including Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ganesh Ingale.
