Pune: A shocking incident took place in the Kondhwa area, where two individuals attempted to snatch a man’s mobile phone by threatening him at gunpoint and assaulting him while he was on his way to work. The police have arrested both accused in connection with the case.
Mohammed Yasin Nihar Mansuri (22, resident of Salunke Vihar Road, Kondhwa) lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case against Tabrez alias Parvez Munir Shaikh (resident of J.K. Park, Kondhwa) and Ramzan Abbas Patel (24, resident of Shivneri Nagar), who have been taken into custody.
According to police reports, the complainant, Mansuri, works as a chef at a hotel. Around 4 AM on Saturday, February 16, he was on his way to work when two accused approached him on a motorcycle. They verbally abused and threatened him before physically assaulting him. One of the accused pointed a gun at Mansuri’s head and attempted to forcibly snatch his mobile phone. The incident occurred on the road in front of Maurya Cooperative Society in Kondhwa.
Following the attack, Mansuri filed a complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station. A case has been registered against both accused, and they have been arrested. Assistant Police Commissioner Dhanyakumar Godse, Senior Police Inspector Vinay Patankar, Police Inspector Shaikh, and Assistant Police Inspector Mayur Vairagkar visited the crime scene. The investigation is being led by Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Digole.
