Pune: Police conducted raids on two separate gambling dens in the Loni Kalbhor area, seizing gambling materials and cash during the operations. Four individuals have been booked in connection with the illegal activities.
One of the raids was carried out near Theur Bridge, where police had received information about a gambling den where a game was being played.
In this operation, ₹60,000 in cash were seized, with the total value of confiscated materials amounting to ₹82,580. The arrested individuals were identified as Rajabhau Sheshrao Musale (40, resident of Theur, Haveli taluka) and Ram Rajendra Gire (36, resident of Gadhave Mala, Kunjirwadi, Haveli taluka).
In another action, the police received a tip-off about an illegal “Matka” gambling den operating in the Kadamwak Vasti area of Loni Kalbhor.
Acting on this information, the police team raided the den and arrested Dattatray Navnath Moholkar (59, resident of Mhatobachi Alandi, Haveli taluka) and Tatya Ram Mahadev Sasane (51, resident of Mali Mala, Haveli taluka). From them, the police seized gambling materials and ₹1,765 in cash.
These operations were conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajkumar Shinde and Assistant Commissioner Anuradha Udamale. The team from Loni Kalbhor Police Station, including Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Panhale, Sub-Inspector Digambar Sontakke, Mahesh Chavan, Ravi Aher, Malhar Dhamdhere, Mangesh Nanapure, and Sandeep Dhumal, played key roles in executing the raids
