Pune: In response to heightened security threats, Pune Police have issued stringent directives to lodge owners and operators to bolster safety protocols.
Following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that resulted in 26 fatalities, a security-focused meeting was convened with lodge owners under the jurisdiction of Hadapsar Police Station. During this session, Circle 5 of Pune Police emphasized the necessity for comprehensive guest verification procedures.
Key Directives Include:
Mandatory Identity Verification: All guests must have their identity documents properly verified and recorded in the register.
Submission of C-Forms: Foreign nationals are required to submit C-Forms along with photocopies of their passports and visas for documentation.
Installation of Surveillance Systems: Lodges must install HD and night vision CCTV cameras at entrances and surrounding areas to ensure full coverage.
Immediate Reporting of Suspicious Activity: Any suspicious individuals or activities observed on the premises must be promptly reported to the police control room.
These measures are part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and prevent potential threats in the region.
