Pune: A businessman, Nitesh Kumar Rajkumar Shah, has reported a theft after burglars broke the glass of his car and stole Rs. 10,51,000 in cash. The incident occurred while his vehicle was parked along the roadside in Pune’s Viman Nagar area. Shah, a 34-year-old resident of Charkop, Kandivali in Mumbai, filed an official complaint at the Vimantal Police Station regarding the incident.
This theft highlights a troubling uptick in similar crimes across the city, with thieves increasingly targeting parked vehicles to steal valuables such as cash, jewelry, and electronics. Just recently, two separate incidents in the Hadapsar area saw thieves breaking into cars and making off with cash and jewelry.
Authorities are actively investigating these rising thefts and have urged the public to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect their belongings.
