Mumbai : When it comes to motorcycles that capture the imagination of Indian youth, Royal Enfield has always led the way. From college students to seasoned riders, the craze for Royal Enfield bikes, especially the Bullet, remains unmatched. Over the years, the company has introduced several models that have found huge success in the Indian market. Now, taking a step forward, Royal Enfield has launched a facelifted version of its most affordable motorcycle — the Hunter 350.
This time, the Hunter 350 isn’t just about cosmetic tweaks — it comes with significant upgrades designed especially for young riders. It’s the first time the model has received such a major update since its original launch.
Among the biggest changes is the rear suspension. Royal Enfield has moved from a linear spring setup to a progressive spring system, making the ride smoother and far more comfortable. The previous generation was often criticized for its stiff rear suspension, but the facelift addresses this with a softer, better-tuned setup.
The company has also increased the ground clearance by 10mm, thanks to a reworked exhaust routing, ensuring the bike can handle speed bumps and rough patches with greater ease.
In terms of design, the Hunter 350 retains its classic appeal but now features a newly designed seat to improve rider comfort without losing the familiar look. All variants now come with a slip-assist clutch, making gear shifts lighter and more effortless — a big advantage in city traffic.
For the tech-savvy rider, the updates don’t end there. The new Hunter 350 offers a full-LED headlamp for better visibility, a digi-analog instrument cluster with the Tripper Navigation Pod available on select variants, and a USB Type-C charger for easy mobile charging on the move.
The facelift also brings six new vibrant colour options, adding fresh energy to the lineup.
Interestingly, the engine remains unchanged. The facelifted Hunter 350 continues to use the proven 349cc air-cooled J-series engine. It produces 20.2 horsepower and 27 Nm of torque, paired with a slick five-speed gearbox — now enhanced with the new slip-assist clutch.
Royal Enfield’s decision to keep the engine untouched seems wise, given the praise the Hunter 350 has received for its smooth performance and easy handling.
With these upgrades, Royal Enfield has made the Hunter 350 even more attractive, especially for young buyers who want a mix of classic looks, modern features, and everyday practicality. The Hunter 350 was already a success story — and now, with its latest facelift, it’s set to strengthen its place as the go-to choice for India’s new-age riders.
