Pimpri Chinchwad: Pimpri Police have booked six individuals for allegedly defrauding several people of ₹14.95 lakh by offering unrealistically cheap travel packages. The fraudulent activities reportedly took place between October 2023 and February 7, 2025.
The complainant, Deepak Samadhan Jadhav (32) from Tathawade, lodged the case at Pimpri Police Station. Those named in the complaint include Vivian Avinash Makwana from Paud, Pune, along with Abhishek Kamble, Salman Pathan, Bilal Shaikh, Imtiaz Shaikh, and an unidentified woman.
According to the police, the accused ran their operations through a company called Radiation Hospitality Management & Services Pvt. Ltd. They allegedly attracted customers by offering one-, two-, and three-year travel plans, promising stays at three- and four-star hotels, complimentary meals, and movie tickets.
Despite collecting ₹14.95 lakh from victims, the accused failed to deliver any of the promised services. Pimpri Police have launched an investigation into the fraud and are working to trace the suspects. Authorities have urged citizens to exercise caution when purchasing travel packages from unverified sources.
